The opportunity
We are looking for a Lead Finance & Accounting, to perform mainly secretarial, finance, accounting and taxation function of ECL entities in India. You will also support all other Rio Tinto legal entities in India from finance, secretarial, accounting & taxation point of view.
The Rio Tinto office in Gurgaon, (India) is one of our many corporate hubs and houses various service and support functions, as well as a portfolio of product groups including; Energy, Coal - Australia, Iron Ore, Diamonds & Minerals – Borates and Technology & Innovation.
What the role entails
This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly ambitious individual seeking new challenges. Working from our corporate office in Gurgaon and reporting to the Manager - Finance & CO. Secretary, you will be:
- Maximising Gross & Net Margin by Minimizing Cost of the Project and optimizing cash flow through analytical reviews
- Creating tool, reliable database, timely feedback to assist management decision making through continuous analysis of financials, environment and statute
- Preparing budgets & apply budgetary control techniques
- Making rigorous checks and balances for accuracy in accounting, reporting, controls in place and keeping the financial records reconciled with ECL France
- Maintaining all records and coverage for protection of assets, records and database of the company
- Keeping aware and updated on all applicable statues, laws rules, regulation and procedures
- Ensuring proper implementation of all applicable statues, laws, rules, regulations and procedures
- Filing timely returns /documents /information/ particulars to concerned authorities
- Maintaining all records /proof as required under the applicable statues, laws, rules, regulations and procedures
- Keeping the management apprised of the compliances made with proof in support thereof
- Standardising Procedure, Formalities, controls in line with RT for administration and its implementation
- Educating team for compliance and statutory requirements and developments
- Managing compliance function for all Rio Tinto Entities in India
What you will need for this role
This role will provide you with unique experience and an opportunity to make a real difference. In return you will have:
- A relevant qualification as a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretariat
- Extensive post qualification experience working in a supervisory role, within a Multi-National Company
- Good communication skills in English along with high maturity level
A College or University degree in Commerce or LLB degree will be desirable.
